Donor-advised funds are private funds for philanthropy that aggregate contributions from donors. They are established under an umbrella charity that administers the fund on behalf of the donor. Donor-advised funds aim to democratize philanthropy by accepting contribution. They offer tax advantages of up to 60% of adjusted gross income and can hold funds indefinitely.
